On a very cold evening at Marston Road, the Reserves came from behind with two second-half goals scored within 80 seconds to record their first league victory of the season. AFC Telford, who included former Boro defender Richard Beale, took the lead in the 25th minute courtesy of an Alex Gibson own goal. Richard Haynes equalised in the 75th minute and Liam Murray hammered home the winner a minute later from 30 yards out.
