Just seven days after the rather tame affair at Evans Park, which Brocton won 3-1, the rematch at Silkmore Lane certainly had all the attributes of a ‘blood and thunder local derby’. The Badgers took the lead towards the end of the first half through Gary Fife but the Reds hit back after the break and earned a deserved point through Joe Woodward’s equaliser.
