Perhaps because the stadium wasn’t packed and perhaps because the home side didn’t win, the third and final game of my mini Bundesliga tour didn’t reach the heights that 1. FC Köln did last night. Visitors Bayer 04 Leverkusen maintained their push for a Champions League qualification place with a comfortable win over bottom side Borussia Mönchengladbach. Two goals just before half-time from Michal Kadlec and Gonzalo Castro put the visitors in control though Gladbach were given hope in the second half when Martin Stranzl halved the deficit. But Castro scored his second goal to secure the points.Goals:
