Runcorn Town stormed to the top of the Premier Division table with a seven-goal demolition of visitors Bacup Borough. Five goals during the opening 28 minutes did the damage though the last hour was more of an even contest than the final score suggests. The win extended Runcorn’s current run to 11 consecutive victories as they vie with Ramsbottom Town for promotion to the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League.
