Though there were other games with more appeal, I felt I had to finally make a visit to the Hadley Stadium in Bearwood, a few miles north-west of Birmingham City Centre, especially as Mahal were hosting their last home game of the season. Over the years several clubs have been based at this athletics venue which boasts 689 seats and floodlights. Craig Edwards put Team Dudley ahead in the 32nd minute during a first-half in which the visitors created the better chances. Mahal improved after the break and gained a lifeline in the 83rd minute when keeper Sandip Bains kept out Steve Bradley’s penalty. However, Ryan Spittle scored twice in stoppage time to give Team Dudley what sounds like a comfortable victory.
Goals:
0-1 Craig Edwards (32)
0-2 Ryan Spittle (90+3)
0-3 Ryan Spittle (90+5)
